Every Tatalias Guitar is a labor of love, crafted with distinct attention to detail. Unlike mass-produced instruments, our guitars are made-to-order. This ensures that every neck carve, fret job, and finish meets our exacting standards before it leaves the bench.

Because of the hands-on nature of our work, we operate on a strict production queue.

Payment Terms

100% Payment Upfront
To streamline our build process and secure high-grade materials for your instrument, we require the full price of the build to be paid at the time of ordering.

• Securing Your Spot: Paying in full immediately secures your serial number and your physical spot in our queue.
• Commitment: This creates a contract of work, allowing us to allocate workshop hours to your specific build immediately.

Lead Times & Scheduling

The Queue
Lead times are dynamic. They are determined strictly by the number of open orders currently on the bench.

• Estimates: While we strive to hit our targets, all lead times provided at the time of purchase are estimates.
• Confirmation: After you place your order, you will receive a personal follow-up confirming your estimated completion window based on the live shop schedule.
• Patience: Quality cannot be rushed. Whether it takes 3 months or 6 months, we will not ship a guitar until it meets Tatalias standards.

Changes & Specifications

Once an order is placed & confirmed we begin sourcing specific woods and hardware immediately.

• Spec Freeze: You have a 7-day window after placing your order to request minor specification changes (e.g., pickguard color, tuner buttons).
• Major Changes: Major changes (e.g., finish color, neck profile, bridge type) may not be possible once production has begun, or may incur a restocking/change fee.

Cancellations & Refunds

Because we procure materials and allocate labor based on your specific order:

• Grace Period: Orders cancelled within 72 hours of purchase are eligible for a full refund.
• Restocking Fee: Cancellations made after 72 hours are subject to a 15% restocking/administrative fee.
• Completed Builds: Once a custom instrument has entered the painting/finishing stage, the order is non-refundable.

Shipping

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. All custom builds are shipped fully insured with signature required upon delivery. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier once the instrument has left our shop.
